Tethys Gallery is situated in the centre of historical city Florence in the heart of Oltrarno district. It is the only Florentine Gallery that is dedicated exclusively to contemporary photography. Tethys Gallery hosts a rich calendar of temporary photographic exhibitions plus a permanent collection of work by successful artists and talented young photographers.
N.Y. SEE project on New York City at Tethys Gallery Italy
This exhibition is the culmination of the N.Y.SEE Project, a three-year collaboration between 31 talented professional photographers and three stock photo agencies: eStock Photo (New York, USA), Simephoto (Veneto, Italy) and 4Corners Images (London, England). The brainchild of Luz Jimenez of eStock Photo and Giovanni Simeone of Simephoto, the project set out to create the definitive stock photo collection of New York City. Collectively, their work is already much more than a fresh new take on the city that never sleeps.
A city bursting with life and energy
These images of New York City aim to get beneath the skin of the Big Apple, into the boroughs and neighbourhoods that make New York one of the most exciting cities in the world, whether it’s Times Square images crackling with life, Manhattan pictures that go beyond cliché or Brooklyn photography that tells a surprising story, the N.Y.SEE Project reveals the face of 21st century New York – A city bursting with life and energy.

The exhibition will be accompanied by the new book Photographing New York. Award-winning photographers guide you to the best shots (Sime Books).
