Democrats are frozen with hatred: the predictive tweets of september 2019 on the impeachment
This tweet of september 2019 was really predictive of the current situation:
‘The Democrats are frozen with hatred and fear’
Donald Trump began the first full day as formal impeachment target swinging at Pelosi and the House members who wanted to bring him down.
Nancy Pelosi surrendered to most aggressive part of the party and was pushed to launch in september the designated ‘formal impeachment inquiry’.
After a few months of stalling, she ended gaving in to demands from her party’s leading presidential candidates and her caucus’s increasingly aggressive left wing.
Pelosi put herself in the spotlight starting the process in the Democratic ruled Congress to impeach President Trump.
He immediately fired back on Twitter.
Trump exploited in successive tweets his outrage:
‘Such an important day at the United Nations, so much work and so much success, and the Democrats purposely had to ruin and demean it with more breaking news Witch Hunt garbage. So bad for our Country!’
‘Pelosi, Nadler, Schiff and, of course, Maxine Waters! Can you believe this?’
‘They never even saw the transcript of the call. A total Witch Hunt!’
‘PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT!’
The White House howled and declared the legislative process ‘destroyed’ and the White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said in a statement:
‘In a far departure from all of the work and results of this President, House Democrats have destroyed any chances of legislative progress for the people of this country by continuing to focus all their energy on partisan political attacks. Their attacks on the President and his agenda are not only partisan and pathetic, they are in dereliction of their Constitutional duty.’
More republicans further added:
‘There you have it folks – the witch hunt continues,’ [South Carolina Republican Rep. Jeff Duncan] ‘The House Democrats are proceeding on impeachment against President Trump without any evidence of wrongdoing and against the will of the American people.’
House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney called Pelosi’s statement the starting gun of a ‘partisan impeachment.’
She added:
‘For months, House Democrats have careened from justification to justification, looking for any excuse to begin impeachment proceedings. Pelosi ‘is walking away from even the pretense of the necessity of evidence.’
House minority leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy spoke to the cameras not long after Pelosi to denounce the bid.
‘Speaker Pelosi happens to be the speaker of this House, but she does not speak for America when it comes to this issue. – She cannot decide unilaterally what happens here. They have been investigating this president before he even got elected. They have voted three times on impeachment on this floor. Twice they voted before one word on the Mueller report came back,’ said Sen. McCarthy.
